Story

In 2013 we decided to make a film based on a 1900 play by Zinaida Gippius “Sacred Blood”. The characters try to find the right way, while their feelings and minds are conflicted, as are the two worlds to which they belong. To create a mysterious supernatural world from which the protagonist emerges we experimented a lot with filming in infrared mode. It took more than four years, but in the end we succeeded in finding the proper visual contrast  both between the landscapes and the inhabitants of the two worlds.
